Peggy was born in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in Fredericktown, a small town in central
Ohio.
She graduated valedictorian (ack!) from Fredericktown High School in 1987 and went to Purdue University,
graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1992.
After college, Peggy moved to Chicago where she worked in a number of quality-related
positions in diverse industries including precision machined components, original equipment
manufacturers, food/chemical processing, electronics, automotive, aerospace, and
custom sewn products. While in Chicago, she was heavily involved with the
American Society for Quality (ASQ). She was a two-term chair of the 2000+
member Chicago section of ASQ and director of the ASQ Chicago Section Training Institute.
She was awarded the Chicago section's Joe Lisy award for outstanding service in
2003.
Peggy currently serves as chair of the ASQ Quality Management Forum’s ISO Technical
Committee. She is a published author and frequent conference presenter.
In October of 2005 Peggy moved to Fort Walton Beach to be with Steve. That
is when she assumed her current position as Director of Process Management at L-3 Communications Crestview
Aerospace. In this role, she manages the continuous
process improvement for the company. Of course
she decided to get involved in ASQ here in Florida and currently serves as the
webmaster (with Steve's help of course)
of the Pensacola section. She is also the secretary
for the national ASQ Quality Management Division (QMD) which
has her traveling to meetings and conferences a couple of
times a year (including some trips to Orlando which resulted
in Disney trips -- yeah!) Finally, Peggy began a
three-year term as a trustee at our church -- Trinity United
Methodist in Fort Walton Beach -- starting in 2011.
