The Rehearsal
Our wedding rehearsal was held at Trinity
United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach at 5:30pm on Friday, March
10th. Reverend John Bonner and wedding coordinator Deirdra Gary
had everything all ready to go and did a wonderful job of coordinating
everything needed to prepare for our big event.
The Rehearsal Party
Our rehearsal party was held immediately following the
rehearsal on the BBQ patio of the Ramada Plaza Beach Hotel. We
had nearly 70 guests in attendance, including all of the members of our
wedding party. We were blessed that the weather was very nice as
we really wanted the rehearsal party to be outside. It did get a
little chilly as the night went on.
When we planned our wedding, we knew that a lot of our friends and family
would be coming a long way
to share our wedding day with us. It was very important to us
that we got to spend as much time with everyone as possible.
At a typical wedding, the bride and groom get maybe 5 to 10 minutes
with each guest during the reception. That wasn't going to cut it for
us. By throwing a rehearsal "party" rather than a typical
"dinner", we had a lot more time to spend with our guests.

Everyone on the Ramada staff
who helped set up and run our rehearsal dinner did a wonderful job.
The food was excellent! After the rehearsal party ended around
10:00pm, many of us
moved over to the Oasis where we had
some desserts, light snacks, and beverages. We finally wrapped
things up around 1:00am! |
